Michele Panfoli (painter, sculptor)

Michele PanfoliMichele Panfoli is born in Acquapendente (Vt), on 21 April, 1978. His first approach to sculpture and painting occurred when he was 15. He then received a traditional training based on the artistic workshop of the master Giulio Sugaroni. He has recently graduated in economics at the Tuscia University.
In 2003, he cooperated with Maria Pia Rella, working at the workshop called Laboratorio Emozionale, which was located in Rome, via Arco di Parma. In the same year, he took part in the workshop known as La Fabbrica dei Sogni where he started becoming familiar with several materials, including papier-mâché, iron and other materials.
In 2005, he obtained an artistic acknowledgment from the International Gallery, il Collezionista (Rome) after his selection as finalist for an international award Natale d’Arte a Roma.
In 2006 (May, 14), Michele Panfoli was acknowledged as one of the finalists of the third edition of an international competition Concorso internazionale di Arti Visive Em,’Art organized by Caesar Onlus in Castellina Marittima (Pisa). The same year, he attended two more exhibitions: Art Intellectual, which was organized by Jelmoni Studio in Piacenza (cooperates with Cortina in Milan) and Tracce Riflesse, which was planned online by Firenze Art Gallery. In 2007, his name was mentioned in the book “Nuova Arte” (Mondadori) available in bookshops, newsstands and Italian museums. In March 2008, he was one of the contenders of the V Biennale of Contemporary Art, Cannes (Mendelieu-France). In the meanwhile, he was also taking part in the Tour of the 7th Gran Premio Internazionale dell’Arte, which stopped in Rome, Genoa, Barcelona and Berlin.
Prizes: Michele Panfoli holds 5 international prizes besides one special critics prize and a career recognition award. He currently works in Acquapendente where he manages his artistic workshop.
